First assessment
CMDB check
Ten questions about data sources, maintenance and use, and you know where your CMDB stands. Anonymous and without sign-up: your answers stay in your browser.
Think of your IT landscape
The check asks where your data on devices, software and services comes from, how up to date it is and who works with it. It also works if you do not have a CMDB yet.
Your answers are neither transmitted nor stored.
Your first assessment
Well set up
Your CMDB is a real working basis. Check which sources are still missing and where data is still maintained by hand: that is where the next step pays off.
On the way
The foundation is there, but there are gaps in sources, maintenance or use. Connecting the most important sources automatically usually helps most.
At the start
Your inventory is still scattered. A good start: decide which data you really need and merge the sources you already have. We are happy to discuss where to begin.
- Data sources
- Freshness
- Use
What to keep in mind
- Start with the sources you already have: the directory service, endpoint management and monitoring know most devices. Merging them automatically quickly gives you a complete picture.
- Data maintained by hand goes stale. Automatic reconciliation with the sources keeps the CMDB up to date and merges duplicates before they cause trouble.
- A CMDB only pays off when it is used. Decide who is responsible for which data, and link tickets and changes to the records they affect.
The check is a first orientation based on your answers and does not replace an analysis.
Let’s talk about your plans.
Whether it is a first idea, a running project or an existing system landscape: we listen, put things into context and show you concrete next steps.
